Squash

We have over 100 adult squash players, ranging from complete beginners to players who have competed on the world professional stage. We have 4 adult teams and 2 veteran teams (over 45 age group) who compete in the Berkshire Squash leagues We run over a dozen internal box leagues, each league contains 5 or 6 players who compete in a round robin format every 6 weeks or so. Every February to April we run our famous "Bounty Club Championships" - a series of competitions which every member is encouraged to enter. We have regular Squash and Racketball club nights each week Friday Evening Racketball - 5.30pm to 7pm Saturday Squash Club - 6pm to 8pm Sunday night Squash Club - 6.30pm to 9pmClub nights are open to anyone - so if you fancy coming down to try out the club, please just turn up and play For more details about adult squash please contact the club chairman Gavin Jackson bountysquashracketballchair@gmail.com

Costs

Junior squash members - £5 per session
Non-members - £7.50 per session
People pay in advance for blocks of sessions that are normally 8 to 10 weeks long, aligned with the school calendar

11.00am to 12.00pm - intermediate and advanced juniors

Squash & Racketball - New Members Guide

As a new member you are very welcome and we hope you find playing here a great experience. All levels of experience are catered for from beginner to advanced. There are internal club leagues, county leagues for more experienced players, informal competitions and social squash and racketball too. Our annual Club Championships are open to all and range from juniors to veterans & vintage (55+), squash and racketball, singles and doubles – 13 in all...!

Your membership is all inclusive and covers : Social membership of BSSC, Bounty Squash & Racketball section and all court fees. This gives you a reduction, as a member, on bar prices too...!

Club Membership System Loveadmin : This is our system that manages your membership. It is accessed through the main club website and you will already have used this when joining. We encourage members to use this to manage monthly payments by 'Pre Authorising' payment monthly through your bank by setting this to 'YES' on the form.

Court Booking System (e-allocator) E-allocator : This is our court booking system. After joining we will put you onto this and you can book courts up to one week in advance. We will send you details of how to log in and a password that once you log in first time you can change if you wish. Keys A key is needed to access the side door of the club and courts. Members can obtain a key from the bar. A deposit of £15 is required.

Internal Leagues All members are encourage and welcome to participate in our club leagues – squash and racketball. These cater for all levels of ability At present these are organized by : Squash : Gavin Jackson ( bountyleagues@gmail.com ) Racketbal : Nigel Currie ( nigel@currie.me.uk ) Team Squash The club enters several teams in the Berkshire League, including veteran teams for older players.

The section runs an excellent Junior section. This meets on Saturday mornings and is supported by club coaches a professional coach and supportive parents. Contact - Simon Ward (simon@thewardfamily.free-online.co.uk )

Club Nights/Sessions There are several 'Club' sessions : Sundays : 7.00 – 9.00pm. Squash. Wednesdays : 10.30 – 12.30 Morning session. Squash followed by racketball from 11.30. Fridays : 5.15 – 6.45 Racketball. Saturdays : 7.00 – 9.00pm – Squash. Free to all members. Just turn up, introduce yourself and play...! Coaching Sessions are available for all levels of ability

The section is run by a committee that is elected every year at the section AGM (usually in May ) to which all members are encouraged to attend. The Club Captain is a member of this.
